The first thought I had when Sonam Kapoor’s wedding news broke was about the fashion gala the event would be. And obviously, the #EverydayPhenomenal wedding didn’t disappoint. The bride, groom, relatives and all the friends were dressed to perfection and we couldn’t stop gaping. On the main day though, one of the looks that everyone was talking about was our very own Lolo aka Karisma Kapoor.
Lolo wore a floral Sabyasachi lehenga for Sonam’s day wedding and was on the top of the ‘best-dressed’ list. The flowy skirt was cream coloured with pink, orange and green patterns and was paired with a classic Sabya green blouse with tiny gold details. The dupatta too matched the skirt and she looked oh-so-gorgeous!
Karisma also paired it with Sabya jewellery– a magnificent choker as well as a maangtikka. Makeup wise, she went for a blushing look and let her eyes do the talking. It was a smokey eye, with a thick black liner and bold eyebrows. She went heavy on the blush to keep that rosy flush quotient high and added a pink ‘my lips but better’ shade to her lips.
While we were besotted with Lolo, we found another bride who wore the exact same outfit and looked even more stunning.
Meet Chandini, the bride who chose to wear the same ensemble for her roka ceremony.
All smiles and bright eyes, that’s what happy dulhans are made of! The skirt and blouse complemented her beautifully and she looked picture perfect.
Chandini went for a similar makeup look with pink lips, lots of blush, kohl-rimmed eyes and a tiny winged liner. Her hair was left open in a wavy blow dry and side parting. Uff, this bride!
Probably because it was only her roka ceremony, she didn’t wear any heavy accessories except for a pair of gold earrings. She kept the whole look elegant, subtle and very fresh, perfect for a day occasion. And obviously, floral print for the morning always gets a double thumbs up from us!

If we ask y’all who wore it better, we’re certain that there will be mixed reactions. For us, the bride won by a hundred miles just cause of that irresistible smile and the bridal glow that she emitted.
