The weekend is just around the corner and if you’re like me, you’ve probably planned to stay in bed and binge watch shows all weekend long. In that case, I have a few favourites I can’t stop fan-girling over. From snarky cartoons to murder mysteries, there is something on this list for everyone.
1. Rick & Morty
Based after a bitter old man and his whiney grandson’s adventures in space, this one is a fun ride. Don’t be fooled by the cartoon, this show is definitely PG 13.
2. Stranger Things
If you haven’t watched this Netflix original, then you are missing out on something truly brilliant. The story revolves around a group of teenage friends and their encounter with an otherworldly creature.
3. Unmarried
POPxo’s first-ever webseries, this show follows the life of three ‘unmarried’ friends and their life problems at the threshold of adulthood.
4. Riverdale
Based on the original Archie’s comics, this show takes the Riverdale gang through a cutthroat murder mystery lined with some cute love stories and sexy characters. P.S. Cole Sprouse plays Jughead Jones and he is smokin’ hot.
5. Dynasty
From the makers of Gossip Girl, this show is my guilty pleasure. Bitchy, snarky and ostentatious, you can’t miss it.
6. Breathe
An Amazon Prime original, Breathe stars Madhavan in a gritty avatar. It is an overwhelming show that will leave you positively shaking.
7. Chacha Vidhayak Hain Humare
Zakhir Khan’s series is fun, quirky and filled with light-hearted comedy. It’s quite relatable and you will feel connected to the characters, especially Zakhir who keeps getting into trouble because of this ‘Vidhayak Chacha ji’.
