While Ranbir Kapoor has stunned the nation with his impeccable portrayal of Sanjay Dutt in Sanju, the audiences are not very convinced with the story of the film. The teaser and trailer of the film piqued the fans’ interest but the film didn’t really match the hype. A lot from Sanjay Dutt’s life was missing in the film – from his first two marriages to his affairs with Bollywood actresses. The film came across as a propaganda aimed at putting forward Sanju’s side of the story that was untold till now. It looked like Sanju Baba’s PR team wrote the script to whitewash his image.
It’s also common knowledge that Sanjay Dutt’s daughter Trishala loves her dad to bits. Her Instagram feed is a proof of the same. She keeps posting pictures with her dad expressing her admiration towards him. Also, she has always been very vocal about her father’s achievements or the little things he does on her Instagram account. Be it his new haircut or him appearing on the cover of a magazine, she keeps her fans and followers updated about what her doting dad is up to through her posts.
That’s why it came as a surprise to us when she had nothing to say about Sanju, her dad’s biopic. Trishala has remained tight-lipped about the movie and for good reason. There was no mention of her in the entire two-hour-long film and neither did her mother, Richa Sharma, Sanjay’s first wife find her place in the film. We feel that she’s upset with the filmmakers for not having someone portray her and her mother in the so-called biopic. We’re with you on this one, Trishala.
I am sure it came as a bigger surprise to her than us cine-goers.
