We've seen a ton of royal weddings with the bride in an exquisite designer lehenga, an exotic location and extravagant decor. However, few come close to the wedding of Ayesha and Arjun that besides being grand, was executed amazingly well. Themed functions, pretty outfits and attention to every little detail... This wedding will blow your minds!
Arjun and Ayesha met in college and fell for each other instantly. Ayesha Ahuja is one of the founders of The Papier Project and after dating for seven long years, the couple decided to take the next big step at their ancestral farmhouse, The Royal Elm in Karjat. Their wedding was a perfect blend of chic, traditional, and royal vibes. Let's take a look at their fairytale wedding captured beautifully by The Wedding Salad and Romesh Dhamija productions. The wedding was planned by The Doli Diary.
Let's start with the 'Al Habibi' themed pool party held at Radisson, Karjat. Sounds exciting, right? It had a fun Niki Beach vibe to it with an all-white decor theme. Highlighting elements were all the middle eastern stuff like scarves, belly dancing belts and the bride & groom's outfits. Also, there were foot massage and belly dancers to entertain the guests. Ayesha opted a signature Farah Sanjana outfit for the pool party and looked stunning.
Mehendi ceremony had a pop art theme, making it very Indian and colourful, channelling those desi vibes. And don't miss the royal Mughal Raja Rani mehendi design. It was lit!
Let's say Ayesha's pick for this day event was apt. She looked gorgeous dressed in a pink pastel shade embroidered lehenga by Tammana Punjabi Kapoor.
The Mehendi was followed by Sangeet with a grand Bollywood theme with a huge stage set up, two bar pop-ups and groovy music. For sangeet, Ayesha picked a fully embellished gold lehenga by none other than Manish Malhotra.
The mehendi was followed by Haldi which was a small knit intimate family affair. We are in love with Ayesha's one-shoulder banarasi haldi outfit. Perfect for a carefree and hustle free haldi look.
The wedding was a dreamy affair by the lakeside, just what you get to see in KJo and Rajshri movies. The lush green surroundings, picturesque mountains and a lake overlooking the property added to the grace and beauty of the venue. The preparations for the wedding started 12 months in advance and we must say it's all worth it!
It was a match made in heaven for Ayesha when she found her dream red Banarasi lehenga designed by none other than Tarun Tahiliani.
The reception had a very chic pastel vibe to it and was quite a modern affair. The toasts and speeches made it absolutely special for the newly married couple, as they gleamed with happiness. For the reception, Ayesha kept her look subtle in a muted pink floral embroidered off-shoulder Manish Malhotra gown.
We wish the lovely couple a happy married life ahead!
