When I first heard about rainbow brows, I got pretty excited. I love colourful makeup and I feel that the entire purpose of creating a brand new beauty trend is to express your individuality. Just in time for Pride month, rainbow brows have created a viral sensation on Instagram. I mean, compared to fishtail, halo and crown eyebrows, this one is quite wearable IRL.
Who’s behind all the magic, you ask? It’s Dutch Beauty Blogger and Youtuber Nikkie better known as Nikkie Tutorials. Having 10 Million followers on Instagram, her rainbow eyebrow creation has captured the hearts of many fans. It has inspired a few to even try the trend out! To ace the look, she’s gone with Kat Von D’s 24-Hour Super Brow Long-Wear Pomade. Each bottle priced at 19 $ (Rs 1,294 approx), she’s played with warm hues of red, orange and yellow on the left and stuck to cooler tones like purple, green and blue, on the right.
Beauty with a cause
This isn’t just a regular brow tutorial video. There’s a heartwarming story behind this masterpiece. She did it in memory and honour of her younger brother who passed on, “as most of you know my little brother lost his fight against cancer a couple of days ago, and if there’s one thing he was incredibly proud of it’s my channel. today I’m posting this colourful video in honour of him, and to cheer up those in need of some colour and fun.”
