There had been a lot of rumours about Sanjay Dutt and his mysterious affairs with, let’s say, way more than just a handful of women but, since Baba, himself, confessed that he has indeed slept with 308 women, the rumours have become a reality. Rajkumar Hirani, the director of Sanju just came forward and revealed how Sanjay got these women into sleeping him, the things he said and did, everything.
In an exclusive interview with India Today, Hirani said, “He would start dating a girl and take her to this graveyard. He would say, ‘I have brought you here to meet my mother.’ After this unusual meeting, the girl would feel emotionally attached to Sanju. The reality was that the grave was not his mother’s.”
Though these were some of the tricks Sanjay used to get close to these girls, Hirani recalls that he would end up getting over attached to them as well. Giving an example of the same, he said, “A girl broke up with him. So, Sanjay took his friend’s new car and smashed it into another car parked outside his ex-girlfriend’s house. Later on, Sanju found out that the car he rammed into belonged to his ex-girlfriend’s new boyfriend. Both cars were severely damaged.”
Many sources also reveal that Dutt has dated every actress during his years in the industry and even the ones who came in later before his time.
Ranbir Kapoor, who essays his role in Sanju, may have the Casanova image but his count, according to the reel life Sanju, might be less than 10 which in no way equals to Baba’s 308.
Being the method actor that he is, Ranbir took it upon himself to essay the role to perfection and called Sanjay almost every day. He said, “I called Sanjay Dutt the night before every shoot. I wanted to know what was going through his mind when all of these incidents happened with him.”
Ranbir also told India Today about Sanjay’s drug-addiction and things that he remembered from those days, “This particular time Baba was so high on drugs that he thought a candle was burning Sunil Dutt Saab’s head. Sanjay then proceeded to put out the imaginary candle. It was then that Dutt Saab got to know that Sanju was completely hooked on to drugs.”
