If we know Anushka Sharma for one quality of hers, it is her badass vivaciousness. But what makes her a role model for many people in our country is that she takes a stand for what she believes in and what she thinks is right (or wrong, in this case). And it is amazing to see her husband Virat Kohli supporting her in everything she says and does.
A few hours ago, Virat shared a video of Anushka pulling up a guy on the Mumbai roads for littering. The guy had apparently thrown out a plastic wrapper on the road from the window of his luxury car, and Virushka having seen this could not resist stopping him and making him realise his mistake. Very well said, Anushka! In a celebrity-obsessed country like ours, it’s good to see that people like Anushka and Virat are taking it upon themselves to spread awareness regarding a topic that is affecting our country in more ways than one. But in a way, it’s also disheartening to see that educated, well-settled individuals like the guy in the video, who have access to every luxury in the world fail to understand the importance of a basic etiquette like community hygiene and cleanliness. High time we mend our ways as a country, don’t you think?
