9 Underrated, Affordable Beauty Brands That Are Worth Your Attention, Time And Money!

Attention ladies: Beauty(ful) treasure trove ahead!

Now that I have your attention, let’s jump right into it. Don’t you love that feeling of finding something you love in the unlikeliest of brands? I’m always on the hunt for new makeup and beauty products. How often do we really venture out of our comfort zones though? Would you DARE to think beyond the Maybelline and L’Oreal when it comes to beauty? Sometimes a brand that you probably didn’t even know existed will have stuff that’s way more affordable and better than your regular brands. That’s exactly what we’re doing here today, we’re looking for undiscovered, affordable and seriously underrated brands that are totally worth your attention. Check em out!

Miss Claire

Miss Claire is an Indian drugstore brand that has been around for years. It was a brand that you would always find in small makeup and beauty stores. They sell everything under the sun right from lipsticks, primers, foundations, eyeshadows – they have it all! If you’re looking for some affordable beauty products your search ends here. I’d recommend the Miss Claire Long Lasting Matte Lipstick (Rs 325) and the Miss Claire Soft Matte Lip Cream (Rs 295).

Biotique

This is probably not a brand you didn’t know about or didn’t notice. This is one of those brands that’s usually in hotel bathrooms and until recently I hadn’t tried too many of their products. If you are looking to use some Ayurvedic herbal bath and beauty products, Biotique has a pretty phenomenal range to choose from. I’d recommend the Biotique Bio Dandelion Visibly Ageless Serum (Rs 230) to anyone looking to purchase a lightweight anti-ageing moisturiser!

Simply Pretty by Avon

A quirky brand that is loved by most of the college-going crowd simply pretty has a range of makeup products that are super affordable when you’re on a tight budget. Coming from a brand like Avon, quality is definitely not something you would need to worry about. The Simply Pretty Restage Kajal Pencil (Rs 149) is loved by many of my teenage cousins!

Pro-Arte 

If you’re a makeup enthusiast or even a makeup artist on a budget, this brand has some SERIOUSLY amazing makeup brushes and false eyelashes! Gone are the days where you had to pay a bomb to have an envious vanity! I personally use and love the Pro Arte Eyelashes – 004 (Rs 150) and the Pro Arte Shadow Blending Brush (Rs 300) 

Elle 18 

Another Indian drugstore hit among college students Elle 18 has some pretty awesome makeup! If you’re looking for a steal deal, check out their Elle 18 Color Pops Matte Lipsticks (Rs 100). For that price range, you can’t go wrong. 

Aroma Magic

An ayurvedic brand focused on skincare AromaMagic products are used and loved by many. You’ll find this brand commonly used in spas and salons across. The Aroma Magic Peppermint Exfol Gel (Rs 175) is one of my favourite products from the brand!

It’s Skin

An affordable Korean Skincare brand finally hits the Indian markets. It’s Skin has some pretty revolutionary K-beauty products at a fraction of the price as compared to competitors. The It’s Skin Snail Moisture Mask Sheet (Rs 150) and the It’s Skin Collagen Nutrition Serum (Rs 950) have been constants in my K-beauty stash. 

INCOLOR

A brand known to dupe some pretty iconic liquid lipsticks, one of their best products is definitely the INCOLOR Matte Me Ultra Smooth Lip Cream (Rs 250)  

Sivanna

Another brand known to dupe luxury brands, Sivanna products are pretty affordable and beginner friendly. A makeup junkie would probably tell you that this brand has dupes for your Bobbi Brown favourites. The Sivanna Shimmer Highlighter (Rs 288) is a pretty bang on dupe for the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Brick Highlighter priced at Rs 3,500!
