Destination weddings are a thing now. Amidst the rumours of DeepVeer’s Italy wedding, there’s another celebrity couple, Rubina Dilaik and Abhinav Shukla, who are all set for a beautiful destination wedding in Shimla. This TV couple has been dating for more than three years now.
A couple of weeks back, Rubina had shared a picture on Instagram, sharing with her fans the news of their wedding. The caption read, ‘YES 😇 we @ashukla09 are Going to Begin our New Journey, with proudly embracing each other’s imperfections for an eternity! ☺️☺️! This JUNE will be the Celebration of our BIG Day❤️……. thank you ALL for flooding us with love and good wishes’.
And now we have all the details about their wedding plans and the venue. The couple is tying the knot at Woodville Palace, Shimla which also happens to be the same venue where the wedding scene of 3 Idiots was shot. Yup, the one where Kareena runs away from the venue! Woodville Palace is the ancestral home of the Jubbal Royal Family. With its beautiful rose gardens, lawns and vintage rooms and decor, it presents itself as the perfect royal venue.
The lovely couple is all set to tie the knot on June 21st. All excited about her wedding, Rubina told a leading daily, “I always wanted a fairytale wedding and wanted to get married in a palace, and I am glad that this dream will come true. It is a privilege and an honour that Raj Kumar Uday Singh said that they would love to host the wedding at the palace. It is a beautiful heritage palace that has stood since the time of the British rule.”
Abhinav also revealed some more details about the venue. “We are getting hitched in this Mahal in Shimla. The traditions will be a mix of Punjabi and Pahadi. We will skip functions/rituals that we feel are unnecessary. Rubina has taken complete charge of the planning. She is imaginative and creative in her planning. Moreover, I cannot match up to her energy level. I told her that I will do all the running about. It is completely her project, planning-wise.”
Abhinav is head over heels about this wedding and didn’t miss a chance to credit Rubina for all the wedding planning. He said, “It’s going superb and all because of Rubina. I am not the kind of guy who can manage so many things together but she is doing so much running around. I am getting inspired and learning so much from her on how to do things like these. Women are known to be multi-tasker and I can see that in her completely.”
