Yesterday Bollywood took a minor break from work to celebrate the marriage of Sonam Kapoor to Anand Ahuja. If you didn’t know it by now, let me tell you that half of Bollywood is related to the bride and a night of unstoppable partying was not only expected, it was well-deserved as well. The list of Sonam’s cousins includes Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Khushi Kapoor and the other Kapoor clan – Kareena, Karisma and Ranbir. Her best friends are Jacqueline Fernandez, Swara Bhasker and a LOT of stylists and designers. I do not even want to get into her father, Anil Kapoor’s list of close friends because then I’d have to list down the name of who’s who in Bollywood, including SRK and Salman, who lit up the night!
Clearly, it was A LOT more than what Anand Ahuja, a Delhi based fashion and lifestyle entrepreneur, had bargained for. Based on what we saw last night, and trust me, we saw a lot, Anand must have been pretty overwhelmed with the energy displayed by our favourite Bollywood stars (and the sheer number of outfit changes that took place over the past three days). I’m no mind reader, but here’s what I think must be running through his head in the star-studded affair that was his reception!
