I think we need to come to terms with facial hair and accept our bodies for the way they are. And while it may be a personal choice for you to keep it the way it is, most of us remove our facial hair one way or the other. Here are a few things you can do to remove facial hair.

1. Let’s Start With Plucking

If you have less hair on your face, you should opt for tweezing. It’s an inexpensive and effective method. The tweezers job is to pluck hair from the roots. The results last longer than shaving and it takes about three to eight weeks for the hair to grow back again. The only cons are – it’s time-consuming and may cause slight discomfort. Don’t forget that after tweezing, you must cleanse your tweezers with soap water. Store them in a dry place after to avoid bacteria breeding.

2. Wax it out!

For waxing your face, you can either leave it to the professionals or you can wax your face at home. If you pick the second option, keep these few pointers in mind – There are two types of waxing kits – wax strips and melted wax. Wax strips can be directly placed on your skin to remove hair, however, the other kind of wax needs to be warmed in a wax warmer. You’ll need a stick or a butter knife to apply it to your skin. When shopping for wax, always opt for soft wax for delicate areas like your lips, brows, cheeks and chin. Hard wax can be used on your bikini line, legs and arms. While waxing removes a bunch of hair in minutes, it can also be painful and may cause ingrowth. Waxing also takes about 3-6 weeks for hair to grow back.

A lot of people can’t handle the stinging sensation which can really be bad if the bleach is not mixed right. Masks made from tomatoes or lemon juice and sugar could naturally lighten facial hair. 4. The Razor Is Your Bestie

For a couple of days, your face will be hair-free. After that, hair grows back to normal. Always apply shaving cream before you shave. This will make for a smooth shave and lessens the chances of you getting a cut. Also, if you believe that hair grows back thicker after shaving, it’s a myth! The blade just cuts the follicle in half and makes it prickly – not thicker. Plus, shaving is painless!
