Director Rajkumar Hirani has done a fantastic job of bringing Sanjay Dutt‘s true story in front of the world and it’s not a surprise that Sanju is one of the most exciting and anticipated films of the year. The trailer has finally been released and it’s an all-in-one story – it’s funny, it’s intense, it’s sincere and above all, it’s real.
The trailer showcases Bollywood superstar Sanjay Dutt’s journey starting from his debut film Rocky and covers everything including his romantic relationships to his darkest days until a few months after his release from the jail. And yes, he also talks about his 350, actually 308 girlfriends in the trailer, in front of Diya Mirza who is playing Manyata Dutt, by the way. With Rajkumar Hirani’s guidance, Ranbir has pulled off Sanjay Dutt’s role with the precision the role called for.
The thing about Ranbir Kapoor in the movie is that he’s nailed Sanjay Dutt perfectly – the walk, the Munnabhai days, the accent, everything.
