Sonam Kapoor‘s wedding was a rage not only for all the Punjabi dhamaal but also for the beautiful sartorial choices made by our lovely divas from tinsel town. From Manish Malhotra’s signature plunging necklines to Alia Bhatt’s bright and cheerful Sabyasachi lehenga, fashion trends were popping up as fast as the insta posts from guests. 1. Chartreuse is the new black
Of all things bright and summery, Alia picked a gorgeous chartreuse colour Sabyasachi lehenga and looked a million bucks. The lehenga had beautiful intricate floral golden embroidery on it. She draped a matching sheer dupatta with golden border. Her clear message to brides this season: time to bid goodbye to black and bright reds, opt for this unique and bold shade – perfect for a summer wedding.
2. Of pristine whites
The colour white was ruling the roost at Sonam’s wedding. Jacqueline opted for a gorgeous Manish Malhotra white net saree which had intricate thread work on it. She paired it with a strapless blouse and she was a sight to behold. And thanks to JF, we feel much more confident to wear whites at weddings now!
3. Drape it like Kareena
Dressed in a golden sequinned saree by Manish Malhotra, Bebo made our hearts race. Like, literally! She ditched the heavy jewellery and let her gold ensemble do all the talking. Also, she introduced a unique take on how to drape your lehenga like a saree and look smoking hot!
4. Wrap gowns are a thing now
Plunging necklines have never looked so divine before! At Sonam’s mehendi function, Katrina looked like a goddess dressed in a white and beige Manish Malhotra drape gown with a plunging neckline. That makes drape gowns quite a cool style for summer weddings keeping it subtle and classy at the same time.

Sneakers with a lehenga? Say what? Would you dare to pair your white sneakers with your lehenga at a wedding? Rhea Kapoor did! And we must say, she totally rocked it. We are taking a serious cue from her on this extremely edgy and chic take on wedding fashion. You go, girl!

Karisma Kapoor chose a timeless shade of white too and looked gorgeous in an ivory and gold shimmery bordered saree. She wore it with a white embroidered half sleeve blouse and kept her look simple by going low on jewellery and wearing her hair down.

Yes! Chikankaris as a trend has been there for decades. And Manish Malhotra has no intentions of letting it fade as he comes up with new contemporary designs each time. Amrita Arora looked ravishing in a pastel shade chikankari lehenga by Manish Malhotra. She teamed it with a heavily embroidered matching blouse and finished her look with minimal make-up.
