Like every father these days, Amitabh Bachchan took to social media to show how proud he is of his daughter. Shweta Bachhan Nanda is writing her first book, Paradise Towers and HarperCollins India has just acquired the rights to publish it.
The publishing house posted the news on 13th April.

I bet Shweta is shaking her head in embarrassment just like we all do when our fathers boast of our achievements. Oh well, sometimes you just have to deal with it.
“The idea for Paradise Towers came to me one morning on waking up. This is not unnatural for me. I come from a family of storytellers. As children, we were encouraged to write and read and our imaginations were given a free reign,” Shweta had said in a statement. She added, “I am excited to have my first book published but I am also anxious to know what the readers think of the microcosm that is Paradise Towers, and I hope they would come to be as invested in the lives of its inhabitants as I have come to be.”
Here’s wishing her luck and hoping there are many more proud moments lined up for Amitabh!
