It has finally happened! Director and producer Karan Johar and actress Deepika Padukone have joined hands for a new project after making us wait for many years. We know they share a great equation, so it’s a given that if Karan is directing Deepika, the results will be rocking!
Alas, for a movie we’d have to wait a bit longer. This time, the pair is shooting an ad, which will be Karan’s directorial debut in the advertisement business. The team has kept further details under wraps, but Dharma Productions’ director Punit Malhotra shared a photograph on Twitter of the ‘new director’ of Dharma 2.0 with the beautiful actress.

Karan Johar, too, shared a photograph on his Instagram, posing with the actress.
The dynamic filmmaker has said that he’d love to work with the Padmaavat actress. Deepika has starred in Dharma Productions’ Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, directed by Ayan Mukherji and she has graced his Koffee With Karan couch many times, too.
For now, both are tied up with other things. The news that Deepika will soon be tying the knot with Ranveer Singh is confirmed. On the professional front, her movie with Vishal Bhardwaj has been put on hold because co-star Irrfan Khan is getting treated for a neuroendocrine tumour.
On the other hand, Karan Johar is introducing two-star kids soon: Jahnvi Kapoor with Dhadak and Sara Ali Khan with Simmba. Then there is also Ranbir Kapoor’s Brahmastra and Netflix’s Lust Stories that he’s busy with.
