7 Bollywood Approved Indian Looks For A Sweat-Free Summer!

Being a ‘desi girl’ in the summer ain’t all that easy, is it? I mean, summer-friendly Indian wear is hard to find. You’d have to first educate yourself about and then choose from amongst numerous fabrics, silhouettes and colours. The struggle is real. However, like I said, it’s hard but not impossible. It’s common knowledge that anything is possible if you just believe. In this case, if you believe, and really believe, in Bollywood.

From Alia Bhatt’s breezy blue ensembles to Anushka Sharma’s edgy but chic prints, the industry sure knows how to dress cool for a hot summer. If they can do it, so can you. So, when you want to wear Indian, you go ahead and do you, girl. Go ahead and choose that salwar-kameez over minis ‘coz these stylish Bollywood outfits will change your mind. You can wear Indian and still beat the heat. Here goes:

1. A Starry Summer

Sabyasachi never ceases to surprise us, does he? And that’s pretty much what he’s done with this star print cotton kurta on Anushka – with a relaxed fit, the most summer-friendly fabric and a quirky print. Looks like the designer does casual as well as he does ‘extra’.

4. Flower Queen

Bollywood queen, Kangana Ranaut, has been giving Shilpa Shetty some serious competition for the title of Saree Queen lately. While Ms Shetty Kundra does edgy, Kangana prefers the more classic route… and we love it. Especially this floral print saree, which is her own BTW, in the prettiest pink. Sheer and made with chiffon, the saree is the perfect choice to wear to a summer wedding.
