Forbes ’30 Under 30′ has released its list of achievers in 2018 and a very recognizable name popped up. Anushka Sharma made it to the list of Asia’s 30 Under 30 and is the only actor to do so. Being one half of a power couple isn’t the only reason though, the actress has made exceptional achievements in the past 11 years in the industry. She began her journey in 2007 as a model and made her debut in 2008 with Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. But what sets her apart is the fact that she decided to start Clean Slate Films with her brother and even launched her own clothing line, Nush, all at just 29. There is only so much you expect from a person but it’s heartwarming to watch them exceed those expectations as Anushka has.
From her conversations about her anxiety and the need for a platform to discuss mental illnesses to her dedication towards the environment. She has been an active participant in the Make In India campaign, her upcoming movie opposite Varun Dhawan titled Sui Dhaaga is set around the same. She isn’t just an actress but also an entrepreneur and an avid social worker. With all the controversies that always seem to surround Bollywood, it is nice to have strong female role models that are looking to make a difference in the world.
