A Shaadi Guest’s Guide To A Hot Sangeet Outfit (Without Any Skin Show!)

A Shaadi Guest’s Guide To A Hot Sangeet Outfit (Without Any Skin Show!)

While attending our cousin’s or our bestie’s wedding, we all want to look desirable in those backless cholis and low waist sarees. But not all of us are comfortable showing skin, you know? There is a thin line between sexy and scandalous, and as a guest, we are sure you don’t want to cross it ever. Here are some amazing ways to add some spice to your sangeet outfit without having to reveal too much skin. Get ready to slay the sangeet, ladies!

1. Crop shirts with brocade skirts

Shirts are not just limited to formal wear anymore, in fact, there are a lot more fun ways to experiment with them. A body fitting shirt paired with a brocade skirt and some silver jewellery is a great way to add a desi touch to a contemporary outfit sans all that skin show. It’s the perfect blend of trendy and traditional.

2. Dhoti pants are always a hit

Exude your inner fashionista by pairing royal blue dhoti pants with a silk embroidered crop top. We bet, you’ll get lots of a compliments on this desi chic outfit. It’s stylish, comfy, and would be best for an outdoor sangeet party.

3. Tasseled dhoti cum saree

This is such a great option, especially if you are not comfortable wearing a saree or even a gown. We love these tassel dhoti pants, paired along with a flared-sleeve top and an attached pallu. Great choice for when you want to flaunt an easy, boho vibe.

4. Brocade kurta celeb style

Kurtas can never get boring if you style it the celeb way. We love how Deepika Padukone paired this navy blue brocade kurta with a metallic pleated skirt. Opt for minimal jewellery to let the beauty of the outfit shine through.

5. Kurtas with a cape

We love the powder blue colour and the subtle flower embroidery on the kurta. It even comes with an attached cape which is ideal for when you want to dance the night away without having to adjust your dupatta everytime.

6. Peplum tops with Banarasi lehengas

Everything from the peplum top to the Banarasi skirt looks just so pretty! We suggest you accessorize it with some colourful baubles to break the ‘all grey’ monotony of the outfit and for a dash of fun.

7. Wrap dress + pants

A wrap dress with cigarette pants, why not? You could even opt for matching culottes to appear comfy yet chic. Opt for kohl eyes, a muted pink nude shade lipstick and a choker to finish the look. It’s elegant and oh-so chic, no skin show needed. Period.

8. Pick sheer sleeves

Instead of going sleeveless, opt for sheer net sleeves with light embellishments on them. We loved Kareena Kapoor Khan’s mint and gold embroidered lehenga with golden flower applique patterns, it can be quite a stylish and modern alternative to a floor length gown.
