Anushka Sharma and Varun Dhawan return to the 80's in their forthcoming film, Sui Dhaaga-Made in India. The film is set to be inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 'make in India' initiative. The duo is coming togerther for the first time as Mamta and Mauji.
Earlier the actor made a statement saying, “From Gandhiji to Modiji, our leaders have always endorsed the mantra of Made in India. With Sui Dhaaga, I am proud to take their message to millions of movie lovers in a way that is entertaining and relevant. I really liked the script that Sharat had written and I am happy that I am teaming up with YRF on this one. Anushka and I are pairing up for the first time so I am sure there will be fireworks.”
The first look of Anushka and Varun is all smiles, and they sure look like a perfect couple from a small town. Varun is seen with a moustache, wearing a cream shirt and brown trousers, while Anushka is sporting a purple and mustard coloured saree. Her look is complete with a red bindi and sindoor.
The film is produced by Maneesh Sharma under the Yash Raj Films banner and has been written by Dum Laga Ke Haisha director Sharat Katariya, who is also directing the film. It is said to hit the theatres on 28th September, 2018, a few days before Gandhi Jayanti, and we just can't wait to watch this one. The simplicity of the poster speak volumes of the talent and versatality of both the actors. Both of them have been training hard for their roles and had been seen learning how to stitch and sew!
