#GirlsWhoDrinkBeer: Women Share Pics Of Their Drinks On Social Media In Response To Goa CM’s Comment

Be afraid, world, be very afraid. Women have yet again committed a heinous act of rebellion through which the integrity of the nation is compromised, and we are now doomed.

Don’t know what we’re talking about? You should listen to what the Chief Minister of Goa has to say.

According to a PTI report, Goa Chief Minister, Manohar Parrikar, said on Friday that he was quite a worried man as even girls had started to consume alcohol.

“I have begun to fear now because even the girls have started drinking beer,” Parrikar told his audience at the State Youth Parliament organised by Legislature Secretariat in Porvorim.

“The tolerance limit is being crossed…I am not talking about everyone. I am not talking about these people who are sitting here.”

What followed next was obviously something Mr Parrikar should have anticipated because come on, did he really expect women to take this lying down? Hell no. They took it… bottoms up!

Shortly after his comment, the wonderful women of our society started trending on Twitter thanks to the newly-coined hashtag #GirlsWhoDrinkBeer to show the Goan CM just exactly how it was really done. And trust us girls to go all guns blazing!

7. #GirlsWhoDrinkBeer in different countries too!

8. *clinks glasses*

We do wonder why our leaders are concerned with girls drinking beer when it’s perfectly acceptable for boys to do it, any day. If the acceptable drinking age is adhered to, how on earth should it matter to anyone what a woman chooses to drink?
