Actor Divyendu Sharma, best known for his role in the comedy, Pyaar Ka Punchnaama was last seen in Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. He has now secured another winning project. The actor is all set to romance the beautiful Shraddha Kapoor in Batti Gul Meter Chalu. The film went on floors a few days ago and is currently being shot in the hilly regions of Uttrakhand. Insiders have revealed that in the movie Shraddha and Divyendu face certain issues and supposedly turn to Shahid Kapoor for legal advice (we wonder what the trouble is!) What we are now left wondering is whether Shraddha and Shahid have a romantic equation in the movie as well.
Besides Shahid, Shraddha and Divyendu, Yami Gautami is a part of the cast too and will start shooting for the second schedule of the film in Mumbai. Yami plays a lawyer as well, just like Shahid.
The film is directed by Shree Narayan Singh and is being produced by Prernaa Arora. The central theme of the film is about bringing the social issue of electricity shortage to the notice of people and to encourage authorities to investigate the escalating electricity bills.
