SPOTTED: Fresh Hair Trends At Lakme Fashion Week Summer Resort 2018

As Blair Waldorf said, “There’s something about waking up on the morning of a fashion show, the smell of fresh pleats wafting through the city.” If you’re anything like her, you’ll understand the butterflies fluttering in our stomach when a new fashion week begins.

Now that the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2018 is in full swing in Mumbai, we have been keeping a close eye on all the designers and the celebrities walking the ramp. This is the low-down of what has been happening with the hairstyles at LFW.

Antenna Love

The first day of the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer Resort 2018 was full of pleasant surprises. Although no one ditched the idea of glowing skin and nude make-up per se, multiple hair trends were spotted on the ramp.

The show by the Gen Next of INIFD showcased their collection in a futuristic way. While Pristine whites floated down the runway, the look was exaggerated with cable ties as hair ties. Unique, right? While it looked dope on the runway, I don’t think the world is ready to for headaches from these cables ties. We hate it when our everyday hair ties mark their territory on our freshly blow-dried hair, so the cables do are unthinkable, so to speak.

Multiple Colours

Coming to trends you can actually try… they were seen at the Lakme Salon Free Spirits show by Dhruv Kapoor + Ragini Ahuja. Call us extra but we loved the idea of clubbing two colours in a non-ombré manner. Not your caramel browns and hazelnut mochas but fire and ice colours. Who knew playing with the elements of nature could become a trend on the runway?

Breaking up with the bold trends to try in 2018, Anita Dongre’s Songs Of Summer was straight out of the Garden of Eden. While Eve was punished for eating the fruit of knowledge, we were blessed with Dongre’s fruit of fashion and beauty. Crowns made of flowers and twigs as hair accessories. We would definitely like to try this look!

Time for a mane update, ladies!

Wait, there’s more to come ahead. We’ll be writing about runway trends, outrageous and flattering, in the coming days, so stay tuned!
