Trailer For The ‘Most Insane Horror Masterpiece’ Of 2018 Is Here And It Looks Terrifying

Brace yourself, horror movie lovers, for 2018 may have just begun, but it has already brought forth the most exciting and terrifying movie of the year for all of us!

If you’re tired of the same old run-of-the-mill scare-fest that has immunised you against the genre of horror in movies, prepare to be quite spooked with what the Sundance Film Festival 2018 – America’s biggest independent film festival – has decided to premiere this year.

Founded in 1978, Sundance has become a platform for launching films from around the world that were made outside the studio system, and are looking for recognition and distribution deals. It’s also particularly known for debuting innovative, terrifying horror films over the past few years, often from first-time directors.

This year, Ari Aster’s feature film ‘Hereditary’ has been making waves and created quite the buzz on social media, with movie critics calling it ‘the most insane horror movie in years’ and the ‘horror movie that traumatized Sundance’.

It’s also being ranked right up there with classics such as The Exorcist and Rosemary’s Baby – and for horror movie fanatics, that’s definitely saying something!

The official synopsis of the movie makes no attempt to detail the terrifying plot, and well, we are officially both excited and petrified for the release of the movie.

The gist: “When Ellen, the matriarch of the Graham family, passes away, her daughter’s family begins to unravel cryptic and increasingly terrifying secrets about their ancestry. The more they discover, the more they find themselves trying to outrun the sinister fate they seem to have inherited.”

Scared yet? If you aren’t, take a look at some of the chilling reactions right out of Sundance, to help you take a call on whether you should be risking your heart for this.
