This 27-Yr-Old Cancer Patient’s Life Lessons From Her Deathbed Will Make You Cry

Holly Butcher was a 27-year-old girl who suffered from Ewing’s sarcoma – a rare form of bone cancer. She knew where her illness was headed and decided to let her journey be a lesson to those who don’t value theirs. On January 4th, she passed away in the presence of her family, knowing fully well that she had lived a fruitful life. She lived in Grafton in New South Wales, Australia, and bared her soul to her friends and well-wishers. On the day of her passing, a message from her was posted on her Facebook page and if you aren’t already in tears yet, prepared to have your point of view towards life, changed.

I’m 27 now. I don’t want to go. I love my life. I am happy.. I owe that to my loved ones. But the control is out of my hands.

It is so beautiful. Think how lucky you are to be able to do just that – breathe.

Work and exercise may seem like such trivial things … until your body doesn’t allow you to do either of them.

Try just enjoying and being in moments rather than capturing them through the screen of your phone.

Thanks for inspiring us with these life lessons, Holly.
