For Dry Hair:

Your hair may be dry because it lacks nutrients. For this hair type, we would recommend that you give egg yolk a shot. Since the yolk is rich in vitamins, folic acid and vitamin B-complex, the fatty part of the yolk makes an excellent conditioner for dry hair. Simply crack an egg, separate the yolk and from white and apply it to your damp strands. Keep it on for about 15-20 minutes and wash your hair with cold water after.

For Oily Hair:

If you have naturally oily hair, egg whites will benefit your mane immensely. After all, it does contain magnesium, potassium, sodium, niacin and riboflavin that help in hair growth and controlling oil production.  

For Normal & Combination Hair:

Whether you have normal or you have both dry and oily hair, you’ve got to trust that eggs will save your strands from damage. Instead of using just the whites or the yolks to treat your hair, use both! Add in a couple of drops of olive oil into the mix and blend well. Apply it onto your hair and put on a shower cap. Leave the mask on for about 45 minutes and only wash it off once it hardens.

1. Egg Yolk & Coconut Oil For The Win

As you know, eggs are extremely beneficial to your skin and hair. The sticky, gooey yellow substance offers deep nourishment for your roots and repairs hair damage. Teaming it with coconut oil is perfect if you want to protect your hair from damage, dryness and breakage. Known for its fatty acids and antibacterial properties, your strands will be protected from damage.

Step 1 – In a glass container, beat 2 eggs.

Step 2 – Pour a cup of milk, add a teaspoon of coconut oil and a dash of lemon juice.

Step 3 – Mix all the ingredients well.

Step 4 – Use a thick brush to apply it to your hair.

Step 5 – Let the mask set for 10-15 minutes.

Step 6 – Wash it off using cold water, and follow with a shampoo.

Do this once a week.

2. A Banana A Day Keeps The Dryness Away

Did you know that bananas are a rich source of potassium and B-vitamins? If that wasn’t convincing enough, you should know that they have moisturising properties as well. When blended with egg whites, this hair pack will nourish your scalp and make your mane glossy.  

Step 1 – Mash 1 ripe banana and place it’s pulp into a bowl.

Step 2 – Then, add the yolk of two eggs into the mix and stir well.

Step 3 – Use your fingers to apply the hair pack onto your strands.

Step 4 – Leave it on for a good 35-40 minutes.

Step 5 – Wash the mask off using a mild shampoo and let it air dry.

Do this thrice a week.

3. Aloe Gel Loves Your Locks

Since aloe gel contains lipids, amino acids, glucomannans and vitamins, your hair’s texture will change for the better. The nutrients in the gel are also equipped with antiseptic, inflammatory and moisturizing properties which heal both, scalp and damaged hair.

Step 1 – In a bowl, whisk the whites of two eggs and aloe gel.

Step 2 – Continue to stir till you’re left with a thick gooey paste.

Step 3 – Apply the mask onto your hair and leave it on for about half an hour.
