January

Auspicious dates: 26th, 27th, 28th

Even though there are no specific dates available in the Hindu Calendar, the 26th, 27th and the 28th include a public holiday and a long weekend, perfect for if you are planning an elaborate wedding in your city.

February

Auspicious dates: 24th

Yes, just one auspicious date is available, which is a shame! But look at the brighter side, it falls on the weekend (Saturday to be specific) and since there is just one wedding date available, we advise on booking everything in advance to avoid any problems later.

March

Auspicious dates: 1st, 5th, 6th, 8th,10th,12th

March makes for quite a pleasant month for the wedding! The weather is perfect, not too hot or cold, plus, there are plenty of mahurat dates available. Also, great time to have a wedding holi party. *Wink*

April

Auspicious dates: 18th,19th,20th,24th, 25th,27th,28th,29th,30th

Because it includes two weekends and public holidays – Easter, Buddha Purnima and Ambedkar Jayanti, April is perfect for the couple who are planning a destination wedding. What say?

May

Auspicious dates: 1th, 4th, 5th, 6th, 11th, 12th

There are 6 dates available in the month of May. It also makes for quite an awesome month, especially if you are planning to have a sultry beach wedding or even an outdoor one.

June

Auspicious dates: 18th, 19th, 21th, 23th, 25th, 27th, 28th

We won’t lie, if you are considering a wedding down South, then it can be quite a task to pull it off during monsoons. But hey, there are quite a few dates available this month, and considering it is off season, there’ll be less chaos in booking wedding vendors and you can also expect reduced rates.

July

Auspicious dates: 5th,10th, 11th

Just like June, July is a tricky month with only 3 dates available. But quite a great one if you are planning a budget wedding or even an off season wedding without all the fuss.

October

Auspicious dates: 19th

The only date available is on Dussehra, which is considered quite an auspicious one in the Hindu calendar. Since most wedding vendors will be busy on this day (thanks to the bhaari saaya), we suggest you book them in advance. In case you have made an impulsive marriage decision and still don’t have the wedding vendors organized, a simple court marriage would be ideal.

August, September, November & December

Quite surprisingly, there are no wedding dates available in these months. If these are the only months that suit you, we suggest you discuss with your family pundit and take the call.
