The brand recently announced Sia as the newest spokeswoman for the iconic #VivaGlam fund in honour of World AIDS Day, with a red lipstick of your dreams. The campaign debuted in 1994 to support people suffering from the global epidemic, financially. According to the website, American actor and drag icon Rupaul was their first face. Twenty years later, M.A.C’s mission of making a difference in the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS has only gotten stronger. Hundred percent of profits made from Viva Glam products goes to the M.A.C AIDS Fund.
Sia is joining the list this year following Lady Gaga, Miley Cyrus, Rihanna, Ariana Grande, Nicki Minaj and most recently Taraji P. Henson. M.A.C has managed to raise an amount of $470 million for the affected people through this campaign.
On 1st December, World AIDS Day, MAC is inspiring everyone to join the movement and raise awareness by wearing Viva Glam lipstick and posting pictures with tags @MACcosmetics, #MACCares, #VIVAGLAM, & #WorldAIDSDay.
