Always use a primer before applying your make-up. Give it a few minutes to get absorbed before you apply foundation. “I started her make-up using the CHANEL Base Lumière; it is an illuminating primer that lends a subtle luminosity to the skin even through the foundation. Malaika has gorgeous skin, I buffed in just a few drops of the CHANEL Vitalumière Aqua Foundation and topped it off with M.A.C Concealer (Rs 1,900). Then, I used a cream blush by M.A.C (Rs 1,950) on the apples of her cheek and Bobbi Brown Lip and Cheek Tint (Rs 2,900) to add a pop of colour. The blush and the lipstick were both from the coral family! I set everything in place with a loose powder from CHANEL again, The Poudre Universelle Libre.

Moving onto Malaika’s eyes, I used a cream eyeshadow palette (in browns) from Charlotte Tilbury (Rs 1,872). “Since we went for a thick eyeliner, I used The NARS Eyeliner (Rs 1,872) and Tom Ford liquid liner pen (Rs 3,952). To create a false lash effect, I used two mascaras: Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara and YSL Mascara. I used the Becca Jacklyn Hill Palette for blush and highlighter, you can buy it from Sephora India. Moving on to the last step, I spritzed a generous amount of the CHANEL Hydra Beauty Essence Mist to give her skin a healthy glow.

So, what are Malaika’s favourite products?

According to Meghna, Malaika steered slightly more towards NARS and Chanel lipsticks.

The Last Word

This look is very versatile, the eyes are bold while the rest of the skin is kept clean. You can wear this for a traditional function as well as a cocktail party or a night out with friends.
