Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli’s wedding was all about love and prosperity, and the wonderful news is that it was not just the decor that spoke of their poetic love but also, their style. It was extravagant yet authentic, simple yet chic. It’s safe to say that it all didn’t happen overnight. Having said that, we can clearly see that the couple had invested a lot in creating a hard-working dream team for their wedding.
In the midst of all-things-stunning, Anushka’s pretty-in-pastel and boho look stood out, all thanks to celebrity stylist Allia Al Rufai. She’s the genius behind Anushka’s effortlessly elegant looks. Allia stays true to her personal style, which is chic, modern and edgy. Allia and Anushka have a connective sense of fashion. The stylist is a minimalist by nature and she believes Anushka is too. “We both enjoy keeping things current and never go for a look that might feel dated in any way,” says Allia Al Rufai.
Allia shared how authentic Anushka is as a person, “Well, for her wedding she knew she wanted to be herself just understatedly beautiful. She wanted to look ethereal. Sabyasachi was the perfect choice. He really has outdone himself. His attention to detail has been impeccable. I deeply respect him and his entire team. Anushka just wanted to be herself not the Bollywood celebrity, not anybody but herself and for me this was everything. She even wore Uggs for her brunch. Catch a bride wearing Uggs. She looked très chic!”
Instead of a traditional red attire which is a popular choice amongst brides, the actress opted for a muted pink Sabyasachi lehenga. Even when she chose an all-things-colourful boho look for her Mehendi, she looked effortlessly chic. And the credit of that magic goes to Allia.

This certainly isn’t the first time Allia has worked with the actress, in fact, she been styling her for six years now and is responsible for couple’s recent much talked about pantsuit look. Despite Anushka’s understated style, she’s amongst the best-dressed celebs. While her wedding looks can be described as delicate, we know that the actress’ style displays confidence through both, her pose and poise. She’s never dressed extra nor she’s ever been underdressed for the events she attends, she’s just right. And this remains consistent regardless of what she’s wearing — a power suit or an Anarkali.
