You know it’s going to be a good five minutes of your life when you hear Vir Das use his impeccable comic timing to diss the USA in the first few moments of his act! The comedian made an appearance on Conan O’Brien’s talk show and presented news from the ‘rest of the world’, reminding Americans that there are several billion people on planet Earth with accomplishments and events that don’t center around Donald Trump and his Twitter feed.
Staying true to his witty banter, Das gives his opinion on Catalonia’s “Spexit” from Spain, on how Americans depend on Indians for everything from Uber drivers to satellites, and even humorously deduced that Japan and America may become allies some day.
The five-minute monologue gets Conan and his audience chuckling at all the perfectly timed punchlines, and as always, it’s a treat to watch Vir Das take center-stage and remind us why it’s absolutely okay to let go of our tightly wounded minds sometimes, and have a giggle or two!
