How often do you get to see a pilot getting married to another pilot? Or have you ever seen a crazy wedding where the traditional Haldi ceremony turns into a playful Holi function? Two Mumbai based Pilots, Pearl Verma & Kunal Khajuria, got hitched in the most contemporary and unconventional way at Rajasthali Resort and Spa, Jaipur. The couple wanted their wedding to represent who they truly are as people. Captured beautifully by The Wedding Conteurs, here’s a glimpse of all the fun and quirk this wedding featured.
The Haldi
A bride wore an off-shoulder dress for her Haldi – a refreshing break from the expected! Pearl opted for a beautiful Asos floral printed off-shoulder dress and a pair of simple earrings that kept her look chic but effortless. Kunal too ditched the traditional kurta pajama and went for a cool and comfy pair of linen shirt and trousers.
“The Haldi ceremony was a play of colours on me and Kunal with our friends. It turned out to be exactly what we had pictured, and more,” shares Pearl.
And of course, there was the Instagram photo booth.
The Wedding
For the wedding, Pearl decided on a gorgeous peach embroidered lehenga by Chamee and Palak, pairing it up with some stunning gold and pearl jewellery bought locally in Jaipur.
She also decided to ditch the bun and leave her hair open! And we have to admit that the subtle make-up and soft curls by MUA Natasha Gupta giving her a natural feminine look. A summer bridal look that you’ve got to bookmark.
As for Kunal, he looked dapper in a royal ivory sherwani by Jinaam. Not to miss the fact that the groom made an entry on a rickshaw! What fun!
But the bride was no less!
