Uh-oh. You haven't set your gender on your Google account. We check this to keep for girls only.
To set your gender on Google:
That beautiful feeling when you take your vows and are pronounced husband and wife. Your pheras are the happy ending to your shaadi celebrations. It is also when you finally realize that yes, it’s actually happening! Your pheras are the most priceless moment of your wedding festivities and that is exactly why you need to make sure that your phera photos are nothing less than fabulous. For perfect phera photos, here are a few tips you must keep in mind or discuss with your photographer. We are telling you, you’ll thank us later!

Now this is one of the most important elements to consider for picture-perfect phera photos! Whether you are planning to go minimalistic or want to go all out with your shaadi decor, nothing ruins a pretty capture than a shabby background. That little wooden chair or an unused cloth, peeking through your phera photos is not a pretty sight. Instead, beautify it with floral arrangements or just leave it clutter free for best results.

Make sure you coordinate your outfits with the wedding decor as it makes for great pictures. And no, we don’t necessarily want you to match your shaadi outfits with the colour of your decor arrangements! We just want you to choose outfits that contrast the decor and work in symphony with the overall colour scheme. Your wedding photographer should be able to help you with this!

Right from the pious rituals to the saat pheras, there are a lot of elements that surround an Indian wedding. Therefore, our advice would be to keep the mandap area as clutter free as possible. Everything from the people sitting behind the couple, to the ones who are seated too close to them and even the height of the mandap should be carefully considered beforehand. No couple wants a photobombing situation in their phera photos or them to look extremely tiny (in case of a raised mandap) in their photos. Never!

It is true; finding a good wedding photographer is sometimes even more difficult than finding a husband! And once you have found one, it is important to let your photographer know about the various shot and themes you have in mind for your wedding photography. For your phera captures, specifically, make sure you appoint some spots from which the photographer can view and capture the moment seamlessly and without any hurdles. If you are looking for some creative captures, such as involving your parents or your siblings in the frame, we suggest you discuss this with your photographer beforehand.
These could involve rose petals, confettis, fireworks, a standout decor arrangement and could even include pretty lighting especially during evening pheras. These elements provide a touch of mystic and make for amazing candid captures that look magical in pictures. But just make sure that these are synchronized well and strategically timed during the phera ceremony.
It is your wedding day and also one of the happiest moments of your life. Make sure you enjoy every second of it without constantly feeling anxious about the shaadi arrangements. Everything would just fall into place eventually if you are happy. Trade those ‘quintessential’ coy poses for quirky ones and tell each other jokes during your pheras! It’ll all show in pictures…. All the happiness and love!
