Glam And Glow:I Got A Makeover At M.A.C And I’m Totally Flaunting That Look This Diwali!

The first few things that come to my mind when I think of Diwali are lights, sparkle and fireworks! Imagine being inspired by all those elements and for your festive make-up look? Yep, that’s exactly what I did with Aradhana Chakravarty, National Training Manager for M.A.C Cosmetics India.

Her vision for my festive makeover was simple, pinkish-nude lips, glittery champagne eyes and va-va-voom brows!

The first thing the make-up artist did was to completely clean off my existing make-up. Then, she applied an oil-control lotion and used a natural radiance primer as my make-up base.

Without a moment to spare, she picked up the 116 blush brush (Rs 2,950) to apply the studio fix compact and blush. For my eyes, she stuck to the 217 blending brush (1,950) and the 219 pencil brush (Rs 2,250). If you take a closer look at the eyeshadow shades, you’ll notice that they’re a lovely blend of expensive pink and sketch velvet. Since I’m huge fan of pinkish-nude lippies, I’m glad that the smoked almond shade was used on my lips.

At last, she used the 224 tapered blending brush (Rs 3,050) to apply a bit of highlighter on the bridge of my nose, cupid’s bow, under the brow bow and on the apples of my cheek. The whole look took around 30 minutes to complete, but the final results were worth every minute spent.

I love how beautifully all the products complemented each other. From the base to the glow, my facial features have never looked this perfect. Even while clicking a selfie, there wasn’t the need to play around with the brightness or do any quick make-up touch ups. Everything was perfect because of using the right cosmetics.

I kid you not, but as soon as I walked out of the store, I could see looks of admiration come my way. A few people even walked up and complimented me on my make-up. I was on cloud 9! Even though it was a festive make-up look, it wasn’t too loud nor too bright. The shimmery hues were subtle and the compact concealed all my blemishes and spots like a pro!

Kudos to Aradhana and her team for creating such a fun look. I certainly am going to create the same look for Diwali by using all these products. In the meantime, you can admire the festive make-up from M.A.C below! *Wink*
