Since the festive season has already begun and the wedding season is nearly here, September is the month where all of us focus a little more on skincare. So, we asked our fave Plixxo bloggers to pick their favourite beauty products that they’ve been using and specifically, their September favourites. Here’s what they had to say.
Forest Essentials Roop Nikhar Gulab Face Ubtan
Aakriti Rana Gill can’t stop raving about this product, she says, “Made with over 26 sun-dried and hand-pounded ingredients, it is the best fit for my skin. I mix a fine portion of it with yogurt, apply it on my skin and then let it semi-dry. Once it has dried up, I wet it with some rose water and exfoliate my skin with it. It not only removes tan but also revitalises my skin's texture. It's like a daily cleanser that I use on my face every day. Once it does its work, I then tone my skin with Bela face mist. And after that, moisturise.”
Maybelline New York Dream Lumi Touch Concealer - Honey
Aiana J is celebrating concealers this month, “a lot of people don't give enough credit to concealers and how beautifully we can use it to even out our skin tone. So here it is, a month dedicated to the good 'ol concealer. On a lazy day I just cover a few marks here and there and I’ve got my face looking flawless. The Maybelline Lumi Touch Concealer has a light formula that blends into my skin easily. It comes with a built-in brush which makes application an absolute breeze.”
M.A.C Studio Waterweight SPF 30 Foundation
Aanam Chashmawala talks about the importance of good coverage, “the foundation is super sheer, highly buildable and I love how light it is on my skin. Even though my skin type is normal, it can have a few dry days here and there, and the product suits me fine even so. I always make it a point to wear my Clinique Hydration Face Moisturiser before starting my makeup.
Avene Thermal Spring Water Spray
Kavya Dsouza is a fan of the mist, “this has completely changed my beauty game. This little product works like a dream to give you that oh-so-natural glow whilst soothing your skin at the same time. Also, want to make that highlighter pop? Simply spritz some Thermal Spring Water over your highlighted area, then go ahead to layer it with some more highlighter and watch the magic!”
The Body Shop Tea Tree Oil
Shraddha Gurung has jumped on the oil bandwagon, “since the weather is changing, my skin tends to have mood swings. A combination of the oil with Patanjali's Aloe Vera Gel, applied as a pack for 15 minutes every night keeps my skin healthy, pimple free, and glowing.
L.A. Girl Pro Conceal HD
Cherry Jain is in love with these concealers, “for work or a party, a concealer has to be a girl's best friend. It literally brightens up my eyes every time I apply it. The combination of red and beige perfectly covers up my under eye area. It comes in several shades so you can check what works for you. My go-to shade is orange and natural beige."
