Pantsuits: The #GirlBoss Trend 9 Celebrities Approve!

Who said dressing up like a girl meant wearing pink from head to toe? The modern way to make a #GirlBoss statement, is the failsafe pantsuit! The androgynous trend is power dressing at its best. Celebrities have approved the pantsuit trend and absolutely owned it. Here are 9 of our favourite celebrity looks that’ll make you fall in love with the two-piece!

1. A Dash Of Bling…

Trust Cara Delevingne to make a statement even with a basic black pantsuit. She wore a custom Burberry pantsuit for Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets’ London premiere, with a crystal capelet that complements her rebellious style. Her pixie bob hairstyle is an added bonus! If you have a bold personality and a quirky nature, Cara’s androgynous style should be the one you take inspiration from.

I recommend this blazer (Rs 1,299) to go with your trousers!

2. All That Lace!

PC takes her pantsuit style up a notch by swapping the age old blouse with a lacy bodysuit. It balances the outfit by adding a sexy touch to the otherwise relaxed fit. We like how the colour palette is consistent in the look. From the blazer to the belt – it’s all off white! Statement lips and a side swept hairdo complete the look perfectly. If you’re looking for something subtly sexy, save this look!

3. Relaxed Like Rihanna

We’ve always been a fan of Rihanna’s style. She sported an oversized, double-breasted khaki pantsuit that screamed comfortable. Not only is it a refreshing change from the usual well-fitted pantsuits we see, it has a ‘hot mess’ vibe to it that makes it instantly sexy! Minimal accessories and a bold lip colour add a finishing touch to the look.

4. New Age Sleeves

Kiara chooses to show off a little skin in this white Lavish Alice pantsuit. She swapped the same old sleeves with sleeves that were converted into a cape. We love the unusual yet feminine silhouette! The pastel blue bralette makes the outfit look sexy while making it very soothing to the eye. With hair tied back and blush pink lips, this look is quite apt for someone who has a feminine style.

This White Bralette (Rs 849) will look great with your pantsuit!

5. The Pyjama Edit!

Night suit or pantsuit? We’re not too sure. Either way, we’re loving this quirky pantsuit on Emma Roberts. With a minimal floral print all over it, this black pantsuit is a classic. The straight fit and buttoned up style is both, classy and chic. We love how her shoes, clutch and hair fall in the same colour palette!

6. Cinch Your Waist

Can Sonam ever go wrong with her style? Of course not! She owns the Paule Ka pantsuit by matching her bag with the corset belt. The pop of yellow on the bag brings her entire outfit to life! Cropped trousers and a cinched waist – is there anything not to like about this? This one’s a Sonam-approved style for all the first timers out there!

I recommend these Cropped Trousers (Rs 1,199) and this Corset  Belt (Rs 599).

7. All White Everything!

Alia keeps it simple (and sexy) in this white single breasted pantsuit she wore for Koffee With Karan last year. She stayed true to the minimal appeal of the pantsuit by ditching any kind of jewellery and going for sleek stilettos and messy waves. The plunging neckline adds a hint of sexy to the attire – we love!

8. Take The Trench Route

How do you make a pantsuit look fun? Take cues from Shraddha and swap the blazer with a sleeveless trench! The double breasted style and flared pants make this our favourite. Smokey eyes complement the simple yet trendy outfit really well. Accessorise with gold matte hand jewellery and go for a blush pink lip colour to complete the look.

I’d recommend this Gold Toned Bracelet (Rs 924)

9. Go Short-Short!

Tamannaah gives the pantsuit an edgy twist by going short! She takes the classic pinstriped pantsuit up a notch by ditching the basic blacks and whites and going for a wine colour instead. The short shorts are an added bonus! With a slick back hairstyle and matching stilettos, her look is one to be envious of!
