Looks like the stars had a great time at the 69th Primetime Emmy Awards. Some fleeting moments that caught our eyes though were, Modern Family star, Sofia Vergara having the time of her life on the carpet, you should totally check out her Instagram feed right now; Laverne Cox, of Orange Is the New Black fame, launched her nail polish line; apart from Priyanka Chopra’s look (which was fire btw), her surname took over the Twitter because it was mispronounced and American actor, Shailene Woodley shared her beauty secrets. We were starstruck by these beauty looks from yesterday’s red carpet and you are going to be too...
This year Emmy’s looks didn’t disappoint but out of the entire Big Little Lies’ cast, Reese Witherspoon did something smart. Moving over the red carpet tradition of floor-length gowns, she wore a sharp satin, Bespoke Prussian Blue Duchess Silk Double Breasted Tuxedo Dress by Stella McCartney and David Webb earrings along with matching stilettos from Christian Louboutin. Her look which was styled by stylist, Petra Flannery complimented her blue eyes beautifully. Her make-up artist, Molly R. Stern used Elizabeth Arden’s Power Red Colour Moisturising Lipstick in perfect contrast to her ensemble with eyeliner that reached the middle of her lash-line. And with all that colour-contrasting, Reese’s hair stylist, Lona Vigi and nail artist, Amy Ruiz made sure they keep it smooth and simple with middle parted straight hair and nude nails.
POPxo Recommends: M.A.C Retro Matte Lipstick - Ruby Woo (Rs 1,500)
You know Priyanka Chopra is up to something good whenever she’s in white, be it her Oscar 2016 look or Oscar 2017. And now, she’s slaying her twirl in a white crystal-studded Balmain gown styled by Cristina Ehrlich. But more than that dress, PC is tempting us with her fierce beauty look. Her make-up artist, Pati Dubroff surely knew what look to go for once she saw the dress. She opted for a dark purple smokey eye and matching matte lips. The exact shades used for her eyes is a mix of Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks in Burnished Bronze (Rs 5,559) and Plum. That extra redness you see is a result of Rituel De Fille Eye Soot in Vescera, topped with Glossier Haloscope in Moonstone for glossiness. And Kevyn Aucoin The Expert Mascara in Bloodroses enhanced that fall look. Her hairstylist, Danilo, created a slicked-back ponytail with a sight crown for that chic style for which he used Pantene Pro-V Moisturizing Combing Cream.

Since, Fault in Our Stars, Shailene Woodley has never failed to make us fall in love with her style. No doubt, celebs have their beauty secrets but hers’ is so real, you won’t even need to spend a few bucks on it. We were thinking it would be a face mask or a drink-a-lot-of-water kind of regime but no. When asked about her fave beauty product, she gave the most chilled vibe and said, “just happiness, man!”, that blast of serotonin never hurts. She wore a floor-length custom-made Ralph Lauren dress styled by fashion stylist, Ilaria Urbinati. Her middle parted low loose pony with side bangs was styled by hairstylist, Marcus Francis. And that hair colour was pulled together by Buddy Porter and Kari Hill. Her nails were done by Chanel’s official celebrity vernis painter, Ashlie Johnson. Kara Yoshimoto Bua, make-up artist chose a subtle peach lip colour with an all-over black liner which incredibly highlighted her light brown lens.
POPxo Recommends: Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner (Rs 1,450)
American actor, Yara Shahidi did approve of slicked-back hairstyle in her red carpet look although she kept the texture of her hair as it is for the rest of the length which was done by celebrity hair stylist Nai'vasha Johnson. Her extended winged eyeliner with nude lipstick done by make-up artist, Emily Cheng, complemented her custom-made Prada gown well. Emily used Chanel eyeliner to get that perfect edge. And for Yara’s nails, Emi Kudo used fairy-dust-like high pigment nail polish to from CNDWorld.
POPxo Recommends: Lakme 9 To 5 Black Impact Eye Liner - Black (Rs 200)
The 35-year-old actress, Jessica Biel took us back to good old days with her sexy pompadour hairdo and we loved it. It was perfectly complementing her shiny backless silver and beige Ralph & Russo gown styled by stylist, Mariel Haenn. Hairstylist, Adir Abergel gave her this slicked-back much talked about hair up-do and flaunted it right before Jessica was ready to walk the carpet. On the other hand, Kara Yoshimoto Bua, Jessica’s make-up artist made sure that her face looks minimal against the amount of drama her hair and dress are creating with a soft smokey eye.
POPxo Recommends: Nykaa Paintstix - Sweet Honeymoon 18 (Rs 425)
Neutral lip colour became a popular choice at the Emmys this time but unlike others, A Walk To Remember star, Mandy Moore went ahead with a bright pink lipstick which, we must say, was a daring choice to make considering her black and white ruffled Carolina Herrera floor-length gown and classic chignon made by hairstylist, Ashley Streicher. For this texture on Mandy’s hair, Ashley relied on Garnier Fructis Style Sleek & Shine Anti-Humidity Aerosol Hairspray. And her glow made the look work so well that we are gushing about that pink now. That bold pink you see there is Laura Mercier's Velour Lovers Lip Colour in French Kiss. Make-up artist, Jenn Streicher used two layers of it to get those flawless lips along with black Retrouvé liner. Those pastel nails of Mandy’s are done by Manicurist Michelle Saunders who used Essie's Ballet Slippers at the moon topped with Muchi Muchi, a creamy pink mauve, on the remainder of the nail.
POPxo Recommends: L'Oréal Paris Tint Caresse - B01 Sakura Blossom (Rs 788)
Orange is The New Black star, Laverne Cox debuted the shiny nail polish from her custom line with Orly on the red carpet. She attended the award show in a stunning custom-made gunmetal gown with a train by Naeem Khan with Ruthie Davis’ custom-made grey heels. Her look was styled by Christina Pacelli and her jewels were from Lorraine Schwartz and Ofira. But look at those bold smokey eyes done by make-up artist, Deja Smith, for which she used shades from IT Cosmetics, they are enhancing her party look even more. Her hairstylist, Kiyah Wright gave that glow to her slicked-back let down hairstyle.
Popxo Recommends: Bobbi Brown Sparkle Eye Shadow - Mica (Rs 3,300)
