#ITList: These Beauty Trends Are Going To Make Sure You Start 2018 With A Bang!

The common theme at the New York, London and Milan Fashion Weeks were unique designs and diverse beauty. Low-key make-up and nails took over the ramp and the natural hair trends were happily embraced, repeatedly. With minimal beauty looks like these, one could spot all kinds of embellishments from gemstones on faces to flower hair adornments. But there was also some shiny eyeshadow spotted at the Milan Fashion Week. As you wait for AIFW Spring/Summer 2018, get inspired by these creative international Spring 2018 beauty trends.

1. Stroke It Up

The trend: Thumbprint liner

Seen@ Jason Wu, Rachel Comey, Tom Ford

Think of this trend as a finger or thumb stroking. Take a colour of your choice and just swipe it through your lash line. It doesn’t have to exactly match the other eye, it can be a sister stroke as well. It’s a rounded cat-eye and you can use your finger or brush to apply it. Selena Gomez has already said yes to this look and now you go, party hard with this easy breezy eyeliner trend.

2. Flower Power

The trend: Flower hair adornments

Seen@ Naeem Khan, Philipp Plein, The Blonds

You may or may not be a fan of flower crowns, accessories or jewellery but there’s no denying that if styled well, these blooms can give you a perfectly delicate hairstyle. Placement options are many in updos and braids. It’s one of the best looks to don for an occasion like a wedding or Diwali party. And you can choose to wear the style like Jennifer Lawrence when attending a formal wedding or maybe just a clip like Kristen Dunst.

4. Soft-Focus Stain

The Trend: Soft-lip stain

Seen@ Marco di Vincenzo, Gucci, Philosophy

If a classic red lip seems too stark, this is what you’ve been looking for. It gives a just-bitten effect at the edges and gives a naturally-glossy look to the lips. Wear it to brunch and let your pout talk!

5. Nail That Stripe

The trend: Stripes on nails

Seen@ Tibi, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Kate Spade

Fashion week was ruled by minimalist manicures. While some opted for subtle solid colours, one could also spot that instead of a blank flesh-toned or transparent look, skinny-stripes as minimal nail art was sported by many. It’s easy to recreate and can be comfortably worn at formal locations or formal events.

Braids were popular on stage and no, this time we aren’t looking at a classic three-strand but multiple variations which were striking and fresh.
