What Is Orgasmic Meditation? Here's All You Need To Know!

There are new sex trends coming up everyday and we’re finding it super hard to keep up with them all. The latest sex trend that we’ve come across is orgasmic meditation. Nicole Daedone, creator of the concept of orgasmic meditation (OM) and founder of the organisation, OneTaste, swears by the practice and says it helps increase connection, happiness and fulfilment between two partners.

According to the website, ‘Orgasmic Meditation is a consciousness practice you do with another person. During OM, one person strokes another person’s clitoris for 15 minutes with no goal other than to feel sensation. The OM practice combines the power and attention of meditation with the deeply human, deeply felt, and connected experience of Orgasm.’

The process of this is fairly simple. The woman lies down, unclothed only from the waist down while her partner, fully clothed, sits alongside. In a session timed for exactly 15 minutes, the partner uses his or her index finger to deliberately stroke the clitoris of the other partner. Both partners have all their attention on the point of contact. Once the session is over, both partners share their experience with each other.

Why would a fully clothed partner want to stroke the other partner?  The ‘stroking’ allegedly activates the limbic system and releases a flood of oxytocin. This leads to better communication with their now turned on girlfriend, increased confidence, more intimacy in the bedroom and less pressure to perform in the bedroom. It really is a win-win for both!

As weird and absurd as it sounds, we have to admit it’s kind of intriguing. And with so many benefits, who wouldn’t want to try it? Plus, we’ve never turned down the promise of an orgasm before, have we?
