As a Beauty Writer for POPxo, it’s also a part of my job to regularly attend cool beauty events and new launches. A year ago, I was invited to try out Avene’s range of skincare products at Pali Village Cafe, Bandra. Never in my wildest dreams would I have thought that I would get hooked onto to using their Cleanance Gel.
Priced at Rs 1,199, this product is simply amazing! I mean, I’ve tried other cleansers before, but they’ve somehow never worked well with my skin. Come to think of it, some of those products were the reason why my skin fell victim to acne in the first place. It was only after noticing bumps and marks on my face, that I fixed an appointment with my dermatologist. She mentioned that the skin gets influenced largely by the cosmetic and beauty products we use, and if they aren’t the perfect match for your skin, they could damage it in the process. After hearing her out, I just knew that I had to find the perfect product for my skin type and not take it for granted. As luck would have it, the Avene event happened a week after!
For as long as I can remember, I’ve had oily and acne-prone skin. It was so bad that a greasy sheen was often visible on my skin and zits would pop up about twice a week. Using other cleansers just made it jump from pan to fire. No amount of cleanups at the parlour or using baby wipes helped, enter this cleanser! This one in my hand is close to magic!
At first, I was a tad bit hesitant to try it out, but after a week of using it, I got addicted. Just a tiny amount of product was enough to cleanse my whole face. Thanks to the monolaurin ingredient in it, the avene cleanance gel was able to remove the excess sebum and impurities from my pores like a pro! Without experiencing a burning or itching sensation after, the gel made my skin feel cool, soft and supple. It doesn’t even leave behind that feeling of dryness that a lot of cleansers do.
It’s also a paraben-free product that is excellent in terms of both, quality and quantity. For girls who have acne and oily skin, you should buy this awesome cleanser! It’s one product that I swear by and you’ll always find it in my bag whenever I step out for work or travel.
