The first thing to do in the morning after you wake up is to wash your face with clean water. Cleansing helps remove dirt, oil, sweat and pollutants from the skin. Not to forget, it also gets rid of impurities that settle on the face at night and ensures that your pores stay squeaky clean and hydrated. You’re free to include a face wash into your skincare routine, but if you have super sensitive skin, it’s best to stick to just plain water.

2. Try Using A Cleansing Oil

Cleansing oils help remove makeup residue, cleanse pores and improves the complexion. Before applying the oil to your skin, heat it up for a bit. Massage well on your skin and after a few minutes, wash it off with lukewarm water.

4. Meet The Toner

A toner is essential to balance the skin’s pH level and remove any residue left behind by your cleanser. All you’ve got to do is apply the toner to your face using a cotton ball or pad applying it upwards instead of the usual downward motion. Start from your neck and and make your way to the top.

An essence is a more concentrated beauty product that is a hybrid between a serum and a toner. Giving your skin a radiant and youthful appearance, it also helps keep your complexion moist and hydrated.

6. Exfoliate Like A Pro

Even though your skin sheds a million skin cells every single day, there is a possibility that those dead skin cells are very much still making a home on your skin. Exfoliation is the key to removing dead skin cells and cleansing your skin pores from dirt and oil. Did we mention that it also prevents acne, breakouts and blackheads? Yep, exfoliation is important.

Since the layer of skin around your eyes is fairly thin, an eye cream is imperative. It’s aim is to keep the skin hydrated and protected throughout the day. Once you’re done exfoliating, apply a bit of cream across the brow and socket bone area by starting from the inner to the outer corner of your eye.

8. Moisturize After

When skin is hydrated, it gives off a smooth, luminous appearance. A moisturiser could help you get the skin you desire. After all, it’s main job is to provide a protective layer to your skin that so that it locks in moisture and prevents your skin from drying out. Apply it on damp skin so that your skin stays protected and the nourishment stays longer.

9. Face Mask To The Rescue

On the days when you have a little more time and feel like your skin needs more TLC, add another step. Face masks are amazing because they nourish skin and help improve its complexion over a period of time. Most masks prevent future blemishes and keep the skin’s oil and shine production in check.

10. Don’t Forget To Apply Sunscreen

Before you step out of the house, always apply a generous amount of sunscreen to your skin. Not using sunscreen can lead to skin cancer and in time, give rise to fine lines, wrinkles and dark spots. To avoid all of that mess, it’s best to apply sunscreen every day. Good luck!
