7 Bold Graphic Eyeliner Styles You’ll Actually Want To Try!

Minimalistic or a pop of colour – the graphic eyeliner look is all the rage this season. We have rounded up some statement-making but totally wearable graphic eyeliner looks that you must try at your next soirée. Some could even work for an important day at work, all we are trying to say is, go forth and explore, this is your time!

1. Cartoon eyeliner

Channel your inner Marvel or DC diva and give yourself a pop art eyeliner to stand out from the crowd. Take a precision liner and draw out the outline as you would for a cat-eye and extend the wing closer to the end of your brow line. Take a fine liner brush and either use a bright eyeliner or a pop coloured eyeshadow and fill it in.

2. Shimmer through

Give your eye look a super glam touch by adding a thick line of glitter. For added effect, do this in tandem with a classic black cateye. Gold looks the best, but don’t limit yourself. Go forth and try all the colours you can get your hands on. Pro tip: For a more pigmented look, use loose glitter pigments.

3. Strike right

You could give your winged liner a pick-me-up by just extending the wing, starting towards the end of your eyelid. Draw the outline and do not fill it in for added effect. If it feels like a bit much, fill it in with a neutral or bronze eyeshadow shade closest to your skin.

4. Feel the blues

A pop of colour is always welcome, especially if it is cloudy and gloomy in your part of the town. Bring out your blues and teal tones and draw on an exaggerated wing tip. This time around, try going thick on your lids and making the wing more precise. Add some shimmer and shine over the liner and it’ll make sure your blues are history!

5. Cut the crease

We have all looked at and wanted to try the cut-crease eyeshadow trick but always wondered if there was a simple way to do it. Well here we have it! Bring out your favourite bright eyeliner – the brighter the better, and draw a precise line a little above your crease starting at the inner corner and following your natural eye line towards the end. If you can find an eyeliner pencil, use that to draw the line first and then top it up with liquid liner if needed. Of course, the bright colour looks great but you could get a more subtle vibe with a brown eyeliner.

6. Wing the crease

This one is going to take some practise girls, but we promise you it looks great once you have it on. Bring out your trusty black eyeliner and draw a precise line as close as you can to your upper lash line and extend the line upwards closer to the end of your brow, stop right at the crease. Now from a little below the brow bone extend a precise line and join it to the eyeliner in the end creating a ‘V’. Pro tip: Use a felt tip liner with a precision tip to get perfect results. Keep a q-tip with eye makeup remover handy while you’re practising these lines.

7. Lower Lash Drama

Know this, your graphic eyeliner needn’t be with an artistic steady hand on your upper lash line. Graphic eyeliner looks are all about expressing yourself, so bring out your brightest eyeshadow and line your lower lash line with it. Join this into the crease of your upper lashline with a slight flick and smudge it in. This works best with, a lighter shadow on the upper eyelid.
