The scene when Carrie meets her ex-flame Aidan was filmed in the Merrakech Medina and the women stayed at La Mamounia Hotel which is a lavish 5-star hotel just outside the Medina walls.

The 1965 classic was shot in various parts of Austria including Salzkammergut, Nonnberg Abbey, and Residenzplatz, to name a few.

In the recent times, Rohit Shetty’s Dilwale takes the cake for one of the most scenic songs shot for a Bollywood movie, as the black sands Sólheimasandur in south Iceland provided the most visually appealing background to ‘Gerua’. The abandoned airplane in the song has actually become so popular, that access to it has now been limited. Iceland was also popularised by the success of The Secret Life Of Walter Mitty in 2013.
