10 Super Simple Ways To Get A Flat Tummy For Your Wedding Day!

Getting fit for that gorgeous bridal lehenga…it’s the top priority for every bride-to-be. Every girl wants to look her fabulous best as she walks down the aisle. From the lehenga to makeup to hair, you go that extra mile to make sure that everything is just perfect. And most of all, you want your tummy to be in shape so you can slip into that sexy choli and low waist lehenga with confidence. Here are 10 effective and easy tips to get a flat stomach just in time for the wedding.

1. Do not ever eat and sleep instantly

Always have your last meal at least two or three hours before bedtime. Your body slows down when you sleep and if you’ve just consumed food, the digestion process too slows down. The result? The food is more likely to be stored as fat. Ideally, one must make it a point to go out for a quick walk after the meal.

2. Say NO to sugar

Cutting off sugar from your diet is sure to give you quick results. Sugar is nothing but calories that get stored as fat. Also, avoid artificial sweeteners as much as possible. If you really feel like having something sweet, you always have fruits to satisfy the craving. Do remember that alcohol, juices and sodas are all full of sugar.

3. Drink plenty of water

You’ve heard it before and we can’t tell you just how important it is. Water helps flush toxins while also regulating your bowel movement. So it’s not just for the stomach but drinking plenty of water is great for your skin too. Also, a lot of times when you feel you’re hungry, your body is basically just craving water. Drink 2 – 3 glasses of water before every meal and make sure you’re consuming 3 – 4 litres everyday. You can also infuse your water with cucumber slices, lemon, grated ginger and mint leaves to add some taste. The infused water also helps speeding up your metabolism.

4. Smaller food portions are the way to go

The portion of food that you eat matters just as much as what you’re eating. So even if it’s a basic roti and sabji, you sometimes end up stuffing your stomach more than required. Eat every two hours and keep munching on healthy nuts throughout the day. But do make your portion size smaller. Smaller meals help your stomach digest food easily and that also prevents bloating. A great trick? Use smaller plates that look all heaped up even if the portion is small.

5. Do not miss that walk

You don’t always need to do rigorous exercise to get rid of the midsection fat. If you’re watching your food intake, a brisk walk for 30 to 40 minutes is all you need. A brisk walk can effectively remove body fat and is the simplest way to boost your metabolism.

Apple cider vinegar is a great way to cut down some body fat. The vinegar is said to contain acetic acid that helps reduce body fat accumulation. Make it a routine to mix a few drops of apple cider vinegar in half a cup of water and have it every morning.

7. Reduce your sodium intake

Sodium causes your body to retain water which in turn makes you look bloated. Reduce the salt content in your food and never ever add extra table salt to already cooked food. Also, a great way to lose tummy fat is by avoiding salt intake after 7 PM at least two days a week. This will help you get rid of retained water and make your stomach feel more flat.

8. Take out time for cardio

As a bride-to-be, you’re sure to have a busy schedule. While all that shopping may leave you drained for high intensity workouts, a bit of cardio will suit you just fine. Take out 20 – 30 mins everyday to hit the pool or get onto the cross trainer. You can try Belly fat exercises. An aerobics class too will work just fine.

9. Goodbye, alcohol!

Give up alcohol in the months leading up to your wedding and see the difference! We say this because wedding mean just too many outings. From sangeet practices to catching up with family and friends, avoid alcohol whenever you go out. Besides adding calories, it also dehydrates your body and leaves your skin feeling dull and lifeless. When totally unavoidable, opt for a glass of red wine.

10. Hello, cheat day!
