What do girls look for in guys? Now, while this is something that every girl has her own opinion on, we thought it would be interesting to find out what other women think too. Especially since most of us aren’t always bumping into guys with the qualities we do want – and have to constantly reevaluate our requirements! So here’s our list of what girls find impressive about guys – 10 confessions we found on Whisper…
1. Commitment over ‘experience’!
Boys, it’s true. While sleeping with a multitude of women may be fun for you, we find ourselves more excited by the thought that you manage to keep things exciting in the bedroom with the same girl over years…
2. Food over…anything, really.
It is, sadly, true that not enough men know how to cook – and so don’t cook for the women they’re trying to woo. So the ones who do cook – they just have an additional advantage!
3. A confident, non-creepy first move is just…AMAZING.
You think shaking hands is boring? It isn’t. Because you can tell a lot about someone from his or her handshake – a warm, firm grip shows you’re a confident person. Also, it’s really nice when someone shakes your hand because it shows that the person is thinking of you as an ‘equal’ – an individual, and not just as a girl.
4. A little *expertise* doesn’t go amiss!
Hey, we’re not saying we love guys being, uh, promiscuous. But we can’t help but be impressed when a guy has, uh, skills!
5. A little less action, a little more conversation…
It’s all very well to be doing the horizontal tango and all, but let’s face it – great sex does not a life make. Which is why a guy who can keep the conversation going – someone we can debate with, laugh with, discuss everything about the world with – is a guy who is super impressive!
6. When you know how to make a lasting impression!
Because, let’s face it, too many drinks get you drunk and give you a hangover. But a book is forever. Not to mention: it’s way more attractive when a guy tries to give you something that keeps you intellectually engaged and stimulated.
7. Okay, we are not ALL about the intellect!
A strong guy who can support you not just emotionally but physically too? A is for AWESOME!
8. Chivalry will never die.
Yes, boys, we are independent creatures who can open our own doors. But the old-school charm and courtesy of the gesture is something that is oddly romantic and attractive.
9. E is for effort. E is for excellent.
Because, really, folks. Why should us ladies be the only ones burdened with the expectation of ‘dressing up’? A man who’s willing to neaten himself up for us is a man we’re willing to treasure.
10. If he got the moves like Jagger…
Hey, a man who can move to the beat is just irresistible. Especially since his dancing in public inspires confidence in our hearts that he’s good at all the *other* stuff we’re going to be doing in private!
