I’ve always had very sensitive skin which has been prone to breakouts at the tiniest of lifestyle changes. I could eat pickle for two days and get acne. After a while, it just gets taxing to handle skin as sensitive as mine. Despite trying tons of stuff on my face, nothing quite made much of a difference or maybe I just didn’t stick to any beauty regime long enough for it to show results. But recently, I started using a homemade scrub every night on alternative days and it has been really effective. I take half a tablespoon of malai (cream), add a few drops of aloe vera juice and half a tablespoon of sugar granules and apply it on my face every night.
I gently scrub my face with this mixture, making sure that I get enough sugar granules in every movement. I continue this for 7 to 10 minutes every alternative night and then leave it on for another 5 minutes before washing it off with lukewarm water.While the stickiness of the malai somewhat remains for a while even after I wash my face, it leaves my skin feeling super refreshed in the morning, without even moisturising it after washing. I’ve been noticing changes in my skin everyday since I started using this. It feels softer, I manage to get all my makeup off more easily and the freshness is evident in the morning!My biggest hurdle I’ve always faced about following any such beauty regime is the time it consumes. After work and three hours of travelling, I hardly have enough energy to even eat my dinner properly. But this scrub has been so easy to use, apply and remove that this whole process takes me less than half an hour. It’s been three weeks now that I have been using this scrub and I have never felt better about my skin. Every girl with sensitive skin understands the joy of actually finding something that not just suits your skin but also helps reduce the problems, so this is one regime that I’m sure I will be joyfully sticking to!
