Aren’t we all sick and tired of the rape culture in our country? After the Bengaluru mass molestation case, it’s high time that all this just stops. The root cause of the problem that still persists is that we are not talking enough about the issue of sexual harassment against women, forget about changing laws and better safety. When guys all over the internet started giving #NotAllMen as an argument to the Bengaluru incident, we all realized that men in our country aren’t even aware of how EVERY woman, literally every woman, goes through the the trauma of being sexually harassed. We know #NotAllMen rape. We know #NotAllMen are the same. We know #NotAllMen are molesters. But that’s not the point, is it? The point is that ALL women, EVERY woman gets sexually harassed at least once in her lifetime and that’s what we need to talk about. The #NotAllMen argument proves the lack of awareness that is there in our country. Girls on Twitter started sharing their stories of sexual harassment and it’s time that people accept and start believing that sexual harassment is in fact a big, big, BIG issue, and one that needs to be addressed.
