My four-year long relationship ended on a very bad note. I had a tough time getting used to not having him in my life; it was a torture to wake up every single day thinking about him. His leaving had left a void in my life, and I felt that it would never be filled again. Though I tried to put on a happy face, I had given up hope on finding love again.
My faith in love was restored after I had been single for two years. I guess people are right when they say that you end up finding good things when you are not expecting it.
It was at a mutual friend’s wedding where I met Nilesh. While I was a bit anxious about being with so many people I had never met before, I ended up having a great time at the wedding. He sent me a friend request on Facebook the next morning and thus our story started.

I had pretty much made up my mind that I would not get involved in a relationship, the memories of my last relationship hadn’t faded. But Nilesh somehow helped me let go of those inhibitions and changed my mind. Before I could realize, the casual texting had turned into late night chatting. He was pretty good at singing. Whenever I would feel low he would sing for me, which would instantly cheer me up. He knew how to make me laugh, no matter how bad a mood I was in. It was he who made me feel good about myself… and most importantly, he made me believe that I could love again.
The most interesting thing we discovered during one of our long chats was that we both had broken up during the same month. It didn’t take too long for us to be comfortable with each other. We had our first kiss on our third date. The way he held me as we kissed still makes me smile. The kiss was surely worth the wait. At that moment I felt like this is the way a girl should be kissed… it was magical. Whenever he held me close to him I just melted in his arms. We had got passion back in our lives.

Although some of my friends told me that we were getting close too fast, I wasn’t bothered by their comments. What I had with Nilesh felt right. We weren't destined to be together. We were just two broken hearts giving love another chance. It's been two and a half years now that we have been together and life had never felt so sorted to me. And the void? Let's just say it has been filled by the most adorable man ever.
