Your rule-bound school life is over and you are all grown up to take on this life changing journey called graduation. We all have multiple emotions during first month or two of college since we’re still settling in and a lot of us don’t know how to deal with those emotions. Knowing what to do will make this daunting experience a little less stressful and a little more fun. Here are 7 things you can do to rock your baby months in college...
People around you might seem like they are beaming with pleasure but, deep down, they are as nervous as you are. So...relax! A confident smile makes all the difference. Everyone wants to make new friends so don’t forget to smile at someone new. You might just end up with friends for life.
Speaking of confidence, one should never underestimate the power of a good outfit. They boost your confidence, which always translates to good energy. A great pair of shoes, denims with a casual top and a bright lipstick will do the talking for you.
While we are out of the house for a good 8-10 hours, facing the heat and pollution, there is one thing we should all do - keep our skin acne-free. And if you have oily skin, you know you’re dreaming about the impossible. Not anymore! A face wash that controls the oil on your face for a long duration and keeps your skin acne-free and dirt-free is just what the doctor ordered. Our favourite is the Clean & Clear Foaming Face wash, with long lasting oil control that stays put all day long.
Your professors are unlikely to be very impressed with the friends you’ve made and the glow on your skin though. All they need is your attention and interest. And to show you’re interested, it is important to show up for classes on time. At least for the first couple of months till they know you and you’ve made a lasting first impression *wink*.
We are all very shy on the first day of college (been there done that) but truth is you’ve got to step out of your comfort zone to learn and gain more knowledge. The key to a good college journey is to make friends and/or acquaintances who you can talk to and take the help of whenever you need. Interacting with people also helps you learn about different things like culture and traditions, arts and music etc. College is the only time you get to make some lasting memories.
College is a fresh new start when people get into things that they love. If you love dancing then you should look for the college dance society and if you have good speaking or writing skills then you should join the debate society. Participating in extracurricular activities gives your confidence a boost and also helps you develop the skills you already have.
Don’t just ramble around from college to canteen to your way back home. Instead, explore your college campus no matter how big or small it is because you will be spending a lot of time there. Look for places that can be your secret hideouts (if you know what we mean ;)), or simply find a place to take a break from classes. Also, remember that it is only your first couple of months. As you spend more time in college, you realise that life is about so much more. Good luck, little diva! *This is a sponsored post for Clean and Clear.
