After a hectic week, you need to pamper your tired skin. Getting a facial done is the one of the best ways to go about it. Instead of visiting the salon every time though, you can do a fabulous job at home! It’s pocket friendly and super relaxing if you ask us. Get ready to get your hands a bit messy and give your skin the love it deserves. Here’s how to do a basic facial at home
. Have fun, ladies!
Homemade Facial Step 1. Cleanse your face well
Before you begin your face care, it’s important focus on cleansing your skin of dirt, makeup and sweat! Use a mild face wash
and wash your face with room temperature water. If you want to go the natural way, apply a thin layer of almond oil on your face and wipe it off using a damp towel. It works like magic!
Homemade Facial Step 2. Exfoliate some more, baby!
If you want your skin to look refreshed and hydrated, the next step is to exfoliate. It not only helps remove the dead skin cells, but also leaves your face feeling smooth and baby soft. You can also make a natural face scrub by making a mask
made out of honey, sugar, lemon juice and water. Blend all ingredients well and massage it on to your face in a circular motion. Wash it off after 15-20 minutes with lukewarm water.

Homemade Facial Step 3. Get a massage done right
You can either get help from a friend or do it by yourself. Lie down on a mat or your bed, close your eyes and let your fingers do the magic! Regular massages help improve blood circulation, relieve stress and fight puffiness and wrinkles!
Step 1: Dip your fingers into a bottle of cream.
Step 2: Start with your temples and gently make your way down your cheekbones, nose and jawline.
Step 3: Do this in a circular motion and repeat it for a 2 whole minutes.
Note: Stick to a level of pressure based on your preference and comfort.
Homemade Facial Step 4. Take in some steam
Now for the fun part! Steam is the perfect way to get your skin pores to open up. This face care allows all the dirt and impurities to come out naturally.
Step 1: You can use a steamer or a steel utensil for this one.
Step 2: Add a cup of water and a few drops of lavender oil to the steamer or utensil.
Step 3: After 5 minutes, place your face over the steamer/ utensil and cover your head using a regular towel.
Step 4: Once you feel that you’ve taken enough steam, use a face wipe to gently wipe your face.
Homemade Facial Step 5. Time for the facial mask
You can use a readymade face mask
or opt for a homemade facial. The choice is yours. If you’ve picked the latter, here’s what to do next!
Step 1: In a container, add 1 tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of fresh coconut oil.
Step 2: Use your fingertips to apply it all over your face and massalge really gently.
Step 3: Allow the mask to dry for a good 20-30 minutes.
Step 4: Once it does, wipe your face with a damp towel and wash your face after.
Homemade Facial Step 6. Apply a toner
After cleansing, face scrubbing and taking in some steam, one of the final touch-ups is toning your skin. This face care helps close your skin’s pores and gives it a nourishing, fresh and radiant look.
Step 1: Add 1 tablespoon of rose water into a bowl.
Step 2: Dip a ball of cotton into it and gently apply it all over your face.
Step 3: Let it rest for a good 5-10 minutes.
Step 4: Wash it off with chilled water.
