1 First date makeup look

For a first date, or any kind of date for that matter, you don’t want to seem like you’re trying too hard. Plus, guys don’t really like it when girls use way too much makeup. Keep your base as light as possible, concealer only on places where it’s necessary and a thin layer of foundation only if you need it, otherwise skip it. A pretty, neutral shade on your lips, cute eyeliner flicks and a touch of highlighter for fresh, dewy skin is all you need to wow him!

First dates can be exciting and nerve racking at the same time. I like to stick to a natural and fresh makeup look because I don’t want to look like I’m trying too hard. Generous mascara, pink lip stain with a hint of pink blush is my ideal makeup move for a first date.

Wherever I go, I like to keep my makeup as minimal as possible. A first date is no different. For my eyes, I would use my favourite kajal from Faces. This baby makes your eyes pop in the most elegant way possible. I would then use the matte lipstick from Lakme as the shade compliments my energetic personality. And finally, top it up with a hint of rose blush!

I am not someone that likes a lot of makeup. I like to keep it light and simple. Use a liner and a mascara so that your eyes look pretty! (I love winged eyeliner and always try to do a version of it) I would use a neutral shade or a light shade of lipstick especially on daytime dates!

5 First date makeup look

Getting ready for a first date follows the same pattern usually- going through my closet like a maniac! Hunting through the dresses I own and rejecting almost all of them until I finally zero in on one that I hope works.  So to be on the safer side, I always resort to my favourite red lipstick and keep the makeup minimal. Draw subtle wings on the eyes, and I’m ready to go!

Keep the foundation base very subtle. You don’t want him to think that you look different underneath all that. Also, if you are going somewhere out in an open area, it’s best to keep the base as light and thin as possible.

7 First date makeup look

First dates can be super stressful! The key here is to keep everything simple! From the conversations to the the make up, do not over think and just go with the flow! The first date makeup should be all about enhancing your natural looks. Leave the smokey eyes and the glitter pop for later and go with a more neutral matte finish. I am currently obsessed with the Urban Decay’s Naked Basics eyeshadow palette for some subtle magic on the eyes!

8 First date makeup look

I was really skeptical about the right look for an important first date as the guy I was going with is super casual. I raided my closet that day and changed my clothes at least 10 times before I settled with a simple, floral summer dress. I just put on a bright pink lipstick and a little bit of mascara, let my hair lose and had the best time of my life. That date it still the most memorable one I’ve ever had. 🙂

I went on a first date with a very good friend of mine, we had just moved into the dating zone. Although I was very comfortable around him, I did want to look a “good different” for our first official date. So I decided to go for a subtle-but-no-so-subtle look. I used a nude shade on my lips and highlighted my eyes using an eyeliner, kajal and a mascara. A light blush just to look a little dressier and I was done. And..ahem..I did kind of surprise him.
